Winterlights

Now in its seventh year, Newfields hosts a holiday season of merriment and music. Glistening lights adorn century-old trees, leading guests into a fairytale-like atmosphere. This year, new additions include a performance by The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jack Everly. They will enhance the festivities with a synchronized display in front of Lilly House, featuring the lively theme of the Holly Jolly Dollies from the AES Indiana Yuletide Celebration.

Guests can explore the new Twinkling Trail, a wooded path adorned with sparkling ornaments. A large illuminated ornament stands as a unique photo opportunity, while Color Blossoms guide visitors along the historic Interurban Railway Line.

The festive scene is set in The Culinary Campsite at Garden Terrace, complete with warming firepits provided by the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, who also offer s’mores for sale. Throughout the event, Newfields presents an array of culinary treats, including the popular Electric Reindeer brew from Sun King Brewing Co., Ash & Elm Cider Co.’s spiced plum cider, hot cocoa and apple cider. Guests can also enjoy peppermint vodka and Old Hamer Bourbon Whiskey. Additionally, festival-goers can savor gingerbread popcorn from Just Pop In! and large, warm chocolate chip cookies from Circle City Sweets.
