New this year at the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum is a twist on a fan favorite – the Twilight Pumpkin Train! The train leaves at dusk and returns in the dark. This train is suitable for all ages and offers a perfect family-friendly activity to enjoy together. Please dress warmly, as the evening temperatures can drop quite rapidly.
Before the train leaves, passengers may attend the “Not-So-Scary” Animal Show presented by Amazon John of Silly Safaris. Amazon John brings his collection of critters to put on a show that folks of all ages will enjoy. The show starts at 4:30 pm with the train departing at 5:30 pm. Attending the show is highly recommended and included in your ticket price, but is not required.
The Twilight Pumpkin Train is a diesel-powered excursion that takes passengers on a 45-minute, 10-mile round-trip journey from North Judson to English Lake where the train crosses the majestic Kankakee River before returning to town. We’ll drop you off at our pumpkin patch where you can choose the perfect pumpkin for carving!
