Turtle Recess

Some of the aquatic turtles and the box turtles will be in this program. During this program, we will be taking the aquatic turtles out of their exhibit pond to give them a chance to explore a new area. The box turtles will also get a chance to be out and about exploring new spaces. Animal enrichment helps keep out animals mentally and physically healthy and lets them have new experiences. Participants will be able to touch some turtle shells, learn about turtle adaptations, and might get the opportunity to touch one of the box turtles.

 

Free with park admission. There is no need to register but all children must have an adult stay with them during the program.

 

This program will take place outside of the Earth Discovery Center unless the weather requires us to keep the animals indoors for safety. If the program is moved indoors, it will be in the Exhibit Hall.
