The Children’s Ballet and Hendricks Symphony present The Nutcracker at Hendricks Live! in Plainfield. The two-act ballet opens at the Stahlbaum family’s Christmas Eve party, where Marie receives a wooden Nutcracker from her godfather, Herr Drosselmeyer. After a midnight battle between toy soldiers and mice, the Nutcracker leads Marie through a snowy pine forest to the Land of Sweets.
The production features youth performers. Tickets went on sale to the public Oct. 1 through Hendricks Live!
