Terror in Transylvania is a three-hour, adults-only Halloween murder mystery aboard the vintage Nickel Plate Express. The train travels from Noblesville north to Arcadia and returns to Hobbs Station, with passengers remaining onboard throughout the round-trip experience.
The evening is built around Dracula’s birthday celebration, where a murder interrupts the gathering and passengers work to uncover what happened. Guests choose their role when purchasing tickets: Suspects take part in the mystery by interacting with other passengers and sharing clues, while Investigators interview suspects and piece together the evidence. Suspects receive additional role information and simple costume or prop suggestions before the event. No memorized lines or formal acting are required.
A fall-themed dinner is served aboard the train and includes a chili bar with toppings, cornbread, salad and seasonal dessert. A limited bar menu with beer, wine and themed cocktails is available for purchase. Additional purchases are credit card only. Costumes are encouraged for all passengers.

Seating & Accessibility
- Diamond Class: Booth-style seating. Groups purchasing fewer than four seats may be seated with other passengers.
- Platinum Class: Restaurant-style tables with seating for up to four people.
- Accessibility: All seating is on the second floor, and the train is not wheelchair accessible. Guests who use a cane or have other mobility challenges may request early boarding.
