Join Fishers Parks and the City of Fishers as we celebrate the grand opening of the Nickel Plate Trail, presented by First Internet Bank, during two events on Saturday, May 14!
Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 14
This free, family-friendly celebration will be our first public kickoff event to welcome the public to explore the downtown portion of the Nickel Plate Trail while enjoying live music, food trucks, public art, and more, extending south to activities at the Fishers Parks HQ at the trail and 106th Street (inside the Hub & Spoke building at 8100 E. 106th Street).
Prior to this event, the Fishers Farmers Market will run from 8 a.m. to noon at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater, which will be hosting the annual Hope for Happiness event in partnership with Fishers and Hamilton Southeastern High Schools’ Bring Change to Mind student clubs to raise awareness about mental health and the city’s Stigma Free initiative.

This free, adult-oriented evening celebration will welcome Fishers residents to enjoy food and drink from local breweries and food trucks while strolling the downtown portions of the Nickel Plate Trail. Guests will enjoy public art, live music, and more.
