Event Details

Bring the little ones to explore nature! Learn about a specific nature topic and then head outside to explore the subject in the park. Dress for the weather – we will try to go out every month! Give your children the love of nature.

Winter Birds – December 13
Where are the birds that we saw over the summer and what are these new birds that we see? We will identify birds that like to spend their winters with us. After a small craft, we will head outside to find them.

Who Hibernates? – January 17
Do the animals in Cool Creek Park hibernate? We’ll learn about those that do, those who don’t, and the in-between. Bundle up for our hike as we look for good hibernation places throughout the park!

Snowflakes – February 14
What is a snowflake? How are they made? What kind of snow makes a good snowball? We will explore these questions, complete our snowflakes craft, and then go outside for a snowball fight (weather permitting).

Ages: Best for preschoolers ages 3 to 5
