Jasper Strassenfest

The Jasper Strassenfest celebrates the southern Indiana town’s German heritage with four days of authentic German food, polka music, dancing, carnival rides and hot air balloons across downtown Jasper. The 2026 festival carries the theme “Threads of History, Patterns of Progress,” tying the region’s German roots to America’s 250th anniversary.

Families can take in live entertainment on three downtown stages, sample bratwurst and other German fare, watch contests and a parade, and try the free polka and German dance class open to all ages. Proceeds from the festival’s food and game booths support Dubois County nonprofit organizations.
