Into the Music is the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s free series that pairs an onstage conversation with a full-orchestra performance of a single classical work. Music Director Jun Märkl and co-host Ryan Ahlwardt talk through the background of each piece before the orchestra plays it at Hilbert Circle Theatre, in a relaxed setting meant for classical beginners and longtime listeners alike.
Admission is free, and the ISO encourages guests to pay what they wish to support the orchestra.
