Dec. 12 – Bigfoot
Let’s journey into the world of the unknown and contemplate the existence of Bigfoot. We’ll discuss what ecological requirements a population of Bigfoot might need and if Indiana could support such a community. Although no Bigfoot sightings have occurred at Cool Creek Park, we’ll enjoy an adventurous search nonetheless.
Jan. 16 – Fort Building for Snow Adventures
Ever wondered if you could build a sturdy shelter? We’ll explore the geometric principles behind creating quick but sturdy structures, particularly those that can withstand a snowball fight. After our learning session, we’ll put our knowledge to the test with a fun hike. Snowballs provided!
Feb. 20 – Nature Board, Dice and Card Games
Dive into the world of multi-player games that offer a deep understanding of nature systems and prove educational. We’ll provide an overview of each game, then split into groups for a gaming session. Several games will be played simultaneously, so bring your favorite snacks. If the weather allows, we’ll follow it up with a hike.
