The Hendricks County Rib-Fest & BBQ brings the community together for a long-running local tradition filled with food, family activities and entertainment. What began as an Avon community event has grown into one of the area’s biggest annual gatherings, drawing visitors from across Hendricks County and beyond.
The festival features live entertainment, games for kids, hot air balloons, plenty of food and fireworks. Local restaurants also compete for Best Ribs and Best Sauce bragging rights as celebrity judges choose their favorites. In addition to the festival, the community can take part in the annual Rib Run, which includes a 5K followed by the Riblet Kids Run.
