Trick or Treat on the Rails is a 65-minute family-friendly Halloween train ride aboard the Nickel Plate Express. Passengers travel through northern Hamilton County aboard a historic 1956 train, with a 35-minute ride north to Arcadia before the train switches engines and returns along the same route to the depot.
During the ride, each child receives a trick-or-treat bag filled with goodies, and all passengers can enjoy fresh apple cider. Kids and adults are welcome to wear costumes. Passengers remain on the train for the entire round-trip experience.
The train has heat and air conditioning, as well as restrooms onboard. Limited food and beverages are available for purchase in the dining car with credit card payment only. Trains operate rain, snow or shine.

Seating Options
- Standard Class: Airline-style seating. Groups with an odd number of passengers may be seated with other guests.
- Diamond Class: Premium booth-style seating. Groups purchasing fewer than four seats may share the booth with other passengers.
- Private Table: A private table with seating and admission for up to four people.
Children ages 2 and younger may ride free on an adult’s lap in Standard Class. Children in Diamond or table seating must have their own paid ticket and seat.
