Fall Fest at Prophetstown State Park

Prophetstown State Park closes its Trail of Scarecrows season with a weekend of family programs. Kids can take a night hike to meet nocturnal critters, play games children of the Native American village might have played and make a toy to take home, trick-or-treat through the campground and complete a scavenger hunt along the Trail of Scarecrows for a small prize.

The night hike is about a mile round trip and is best for ages 5 and up or children comfortable in the dark. Flashlights may be brought. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult, and bug spray, sunscreen and a water bottle are recommended. All programs are included with the park entrance fee.
