Cosmos at Cool Creek is a free astronomy program at Cool Creek Park for ages 10 and older. Participants will explore topics related to the night sky with Douglas Balogh, PhD, “The Local Astronomer.”
The program will cover the history of astronomy, constellations, telescopes, and discoveries such as nebulae, black holes, quasars, exoplanets, and distant galaxies. Guests will also learn about observing and photographing celestial objects from their own backyards.
Upcoming Programs:
August 22, 2026 – Astrophotography, 8:00 to 10:00 p.m.
October 10, 2026 – The Search for Extraterrestrial Life, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Both programs take place at Cool Creek Park and are free to attend.
