Preschool Play at Plots to Plates

Kids ages 2–5 and their families can join us for open-ended playtime outdoors at Plots to Plates Organic Gardens on the campus of Carmel Middle School.

Every Wednesday in June and July

This summer bring your children to Plots to Plates on Wednesday mornings for a half hour of open-ended playtime and watch their imaginations—and early literacy development—soar! Play is not only fun but also integral in developing early literacy skills because while playing, children naturally learn about language as they talk about what they are thinking and doing.

Your family can explore our library garden plot and the other community gardens at Plots to Plates. A playground is available for active fun, and benches are available for relaxing and chatting with each other and newfound friends. No registration is required, and we will meet rain or shine (except during severe weather including thunder or lightning).

Plots to Plates Organic Gardens was created by the CCS Green Team in collaboration with Carmel Clay Schools and is located just west of the Carmel Middle School tennis courts (300 S. Guilford Rd.).
