Downtown IMAX® to Host Harry Potter Fan Festival

The very first film of the iconic series, HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCER’S STONE was released almost exactly 15 years ago, on November 16, 2001. To celebrate, the IMAX Theater in the Indiana State Museum will host a one-week marathon to bring all eight beloved stories to the big screen for the first time in the IMAX format.

Screenings will begin on Friday, October 14 and will run intermittently until Wednesday, October 19. There will be matinee times which are ideal for families who are excited to share young Harry with a new generation of children. Screenings will also include an IMAX exclusive peek at FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM.

“Harry Potter fans can not miss this momentous opportunity,” says IMAX theater manager Craig Mince. “This has never been done before, and we are honored to be one of the few theaters who can offer an experience like this to such a loyal fan base.”

In addition to single screening tickets, $12 for adults, the IMAX Theater is also offering a POTTER PASSPORT that costs $75 and gets the passholder into every film once and includes a free ticket to the opening night screening of FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM.

In addition to experiencing Harry Potter on the biggest screen in the state, the downtown IMAX theatergoers can now enjoy validated parking in the White River State Park parking garage. All show times and ticket prices are available at www.imaxindy.com.
