As kids return to school and the days get shorter, Indianapolis pools will begin to close. Before draining the pool for the winter, many local pools have a fun way of saying goodbye to summer: Dog Swim Days!
We’ve compiled a list of dog swim day events near Indianapolis where your pup can take a dip and join in on the last dog days of summer.
*Please note that many of these require proof of immunizations, so be sure to have those just in case!
Dog Swim Days in Indianapolis 2023
Hendricks YMCA Doggie Dip
- When: August 20, 2:30-5:30 pm
- Address: Hendricks Regional Health YMCA, 301 Satori Pkwy, Avon
- Cost: $10
Small Dogs (Under 40 lbs.): 3 – 4 p.m.
Large Dogs (Over 40 lbs.): 4 – 5 p.m./5 – 6 p.m.
Fishers Y Doggie Dip
- When: September 5, 7, and 9
- Address: Fishers YMCA, 9012 E 126th St, Fishers
- Cost: $15
JCC’s Doggie Dip
- When: September 7, 5:30-7:30 pm & September 12, 12:30-3:30 pm
- Address: Eskenazi Water Park at the JCC, 6701 Hoover Road, Indianapolis
- Cost: $15 (plus $10 for each additional dog)
Small Dogs (<25 lbs): September 12: 12:30-1:30 pm
All Dogs: September 7: 5:30-7:30 pm & September 12: 1:30-3:30 pm
Puppy POOLooza
- When: September 9, 10 am-2 pm
- Address: Freedom Springs Aquatics Park, 850 W Stop 18 Rd, Greenwood
Small dogs (under 30 lbs): 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Large dogs (30+ lbs): 12:30 – 2:00 pm
Puppy Pool Party
- When: September 9, 10:30 am – 2:00 pm
- Address: Splash Island: Plainfield Aquatic Center, 651 Vestal Road, Plainfield
- Cost: $10 per dog, with all proceeds going to the Hendricks County Humane Society.
Small Dogs (30 lbs and less): 10:00 am-11:30 am
Big Dogs: 12:00 pm-2:00 pm
