Cooler temperatures are approaching, fall leaves are starting to change, and birds are still chirping.
My family enjoys sitting and bird watching in our backyard. Here’s a classic and timeless craft that your little ones will enjoy making to attract and feed our favorite little outdoor friends.
Pinecone Bird Feeder
Ingredients:
- Wild bird food
- Pine cones
- Peanut butter
- Yarn
Instructions:
Tie a piece of yard around the pine cone. If you don’t have yarn, you can also use wire or a pipe cleaner.
Spread a thick layer of peanut butter on the pine cone.
Place the bird seeds on a paper plate.
Roll the peanut buttered pine cone around on the plate to gather the seeds. You may have to use your hands and sprinkle the seeds onto the cone to make sure all areas are covered.
Now you are ready to hang your homemade bird feeder and enjoy frequent visits from our small feathered friends!
