Every kid loves fruit roll-ups, but we all know they’re not the healthiest snack.
In fact, the typical fruit roll-up you find at the grocery store has five different kinds of sugar in it. Yikes. Luckily, our DIY expert has her very own fruit roll-up recipe that has all the flavor without all that extra stuff. Make these simple 3-ingredient fruit roll-ups that will keep your little ones asking for “more please!” You can feel good knowing that you’re feeding your kiddos a healthy snack.
DIY Fruit Roll-Ups
Ingredients:
- 2-3 cups fresh or frozen fruit (if using frozen, make sure fruit is thawed completely)
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
Directions:
Preheat oven to the lowest temperature (my oven’s lowest temp is 170) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Puree fruit, honey and lemon juice in a food processer or blender until smooth.
Pour puree on lined baking sheet and spread it evenly into a thin layer with a spatula.
Place in oven and bake for about 4-6 hours. Fruit roll-ups are done when no longer sticky to the touch.
Allow to cool for about 5 mins. When cooled, cut roll-ups and parchment paper in strips. Roll and store in a ziplock bag.
Enjoy!
