This summer, Butler University is excited to offer two special summer camps for kids in grades 1 through 7. From June 17 to June 21, 2024 (taking a break on June 19 for Juneteenth), students will have the chance to learn, play, and explore on a college campus, guided by the experienced teachers from Butler Lab School.
Discovery Camp for Younger Kids
Who’s it for? Kids going into grades 1 to 4.
What’s it about? This year’s theme is “Art & Nature: Discovering the Beauty in the World”. If your child loves being outdoors and getting creative, this is the perfect camp! They’ll get to see how art and nature come together in beautiful ways, all while building teamwork skills and learning to see the world with wonder and curiosity.
Explorer Camp for Older Students
Who’s it for? Kids going into grades 5 to 7.
What’s it about? The theme is “Growing & Changing: Noticing the World Around Us”. This camp is great for kids who are curious about the world and how it changes. They’ll learn to notice and appreciate the growth and change around them, through activities like nature walks, cooking, and making paper.
Both camps promise a week full of discovery, fun activities, and the chance to make new friends, all set on the beautiful Butler University campus. It’s not just about learning—it’s about having a great time, too. So, if you want your child to have a summer packed with fun and education, Butler’s enrichment camps are the place to be!
