Create a Culture of Peace in Indianapolis!

The 17th Annual Martin Luther King Community Festival will feature more than 30 Local organizations, vendors and community connections. Families will enjoy art workshops, live music, drumming, family yoga, Zumba, poetry and more!

Tim Nation, co-founder and executive director of the Peace Learning Center encourages all area families to celebrate King’s legacy on January 17, 2015.

“I’m afraid sometimes here in Indianapolis, we are a tale of two cites. We have the people who live in privilege and those who don’t. We don’t know each other. The Peace Learning Center wants to promote the idea of one Indy. We are all in it together,” Nation said. “It doesn’t matter what part of town something happens, it affects everyone in greater Indianapolis.”

The Peace Learning Center’s Martin Luther King Community Festival is the perfect way to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy of peace! Families and students are encouraged to attend conflict resolution, social justice and other engaging workshops where they can interact with diverse community panels to discuss “Creating a Culture of Peace: Celebrating All Things Indy”.
