If you can’t make it to the event, throughout the month of October, the tasting room will have spooky toppings to complement your chocolate candy creations, from eyeballs to pumpkins and fall leaves.

Just for Kids

Though adults have plenty of opportunity to get in on the fun, SoChatti offers a kid’s class  every Wednesday and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. These classes are where kids and their adults can learn all about the process of making chocolate with a personal chocolate tasting, factory tour and fun project.

After learning how to make chocolate and crushing cocoa nibs with a mortar and pestle, children have the opportunity to create candy drops topped with sprinkles, strawberry or a holiday-themed topping.

Creating a New Kind of Chocolate

When Matt Rubin set out to create a better tasting and healthy version of chocolate for his family, the project became so much more than he imagined. He wanted to create a dairy-free, vegan, soy-free and gluten-free chocolate that still tasted amazing.

Visitors are welcome to walk in to the SoChatti storefront at Circle City Industrial Complex and taste a variety of chocolate flavors from Peru, Tanzania, Columbia and Honduras. But for the full experience, checking out a class or special event is highly recommended!

Rubin’s goal was to find ingredients in a sustainable supply chain, a process to hold on to the aromas and natural oils that make the best chocolate rich in flavor and a way to package the chocolate for the best possible outcome.

Instead of forming the chocolate into molds, SoChatti packages in easily heated pouches to pour into a bowl for dipping or to drizzle over brownies, cakes or breads (great for little fingers working on a tasty recipe). The pouches also help preserve the original flavor and aroma of the chocolate for the ultimate taste

For the Adults

If you’re inclined to go a little further, SoChatti offers classes ranging from chocolate making to a chocolate pairing course with wine. In both classes, guests make their own drop candies and receive a tour of the on-site production facility.
