The Carmel Christkindlmarkt is bringing the old world charm of Christmas in Germany to central Indiana.
The concept of the Christkindlmarkt or Christmas market originated in Saxony, Germany during the middles ages. Over the centuries, the Christmas market tradition spread from town to town, and around the world.
Visitors to Carmel’s Christkindlmarkt can bundle up and explore the quaint vendors offering a spectacular blend of traditional German foods and gifts, including a wide variety of imported German crafts and gifts. After a stroll through the market, take a spin on the beautifully adorned outdoor ice skating rink, that serves as the centerpiece of the market.
Carmel’s Christkindlmarkt kicks off with Holiday at Center Green on November 18, featuring music for the season, tree lighting, Santa with his live reindeer- all coinciding with the grand opening of the market and The Ice at Center Green. It is sure to become a tradition your family will look forward to year after year.

Skating Rink
Admission to the Ice at Center is affordable for the whole family. Each skate session is at least 90 minutes long, so plan arrive with plenty of time to reserve admission and rent skates prior to your session.
Skate sessions on Wednesdays and Thursdays are $6 for adults and $6 for children ten and under.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday skate sessions are $9 for adults and $6 for children ten and under.
Skate rental is just $3 per person.
The Ice at Center Green is available on Mondays and Tuesdays for corporate reservations.
