Art classes

Every child seems to have an innate desire to create – and fostering that natural interest is one of the best gifts you can give them. Art instruction introduces kids to new ideas, new materials and new ways to express themselves creatively. And this kind of fun isn’t just for kids! Many local establishments include art classes for adults as well – check out these options to find out more!

A Space to Create offers art classes, workshops, art camps, birthday parties and more for kids ages 2 1/2 and up. Founder Jenny Tucker, a Zionsville artist and art teacher, says “It is important to me that we teach the art of creativity, supported by lessons in art history and technique. I don’t want to teach kids how to copy me, I want them to have the opportunity to strengthen and explore their own artistic impulses with my support as an artist and teacher. That’s also why it is important to me that we offer the chance for our students to try many mediums, including paint, pencils, pastels, oil pastels, collage, clay and sculpture.” A Space to Create offers a variety of classes, including Home School Art Enrichment, Advanced Art, Mom’s Hour Out and more.
