Amazon announces 1-hour shipping in Indianapolis

We know friends. The Amazon “Prime Day” Sale was a disappointment for many {unless you were in the market for organic hair loss prevention shampoo!} even though it brought in record sales for the retailer. So consider this your thanks-for-sticking-with-us redemption:

Amazon Prime Now – the special 1-hour shipping service offered in select cities – has arrived in Indianapolis.

The ultra-fast service – offered exclusively as a benefit to Prime members – provides one-hour delivery on thousands of what they call “daily essentials” through a mobile Amazon Prime Now app. Diapers? Toilet paper? Last-minute gift? You’re covered.
The service is available in select Indianapolis zip codes now and will expand quickly to additional zip codes across the city soon. All Prime members can download the Prime Now app {available on iOS and Android devices}, and will be notified when the service is available in their local area. In Indianapolis, Prime Now is available from 8am-10pm, seven days a week. Two-hour delivery is free and one-hour delivery is available for $7.99.
Prime Now is currently available in Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Manhattan and Miami. The service will continue rolling out to additional cities in 2015.
To get started – and learn more about Amazon Prime Now – download the mobile app at www.amazon.com/primenow.
