The Whitewater Valley Railroad is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and restoring America’s railroads, as well as educating the public about their history. It offers a variety of special events and excursions throughout the summer, fall, and winter.

- Connersville to Metamora:
Visit Historic Metamora, Indiana without worrying about parking!! Visit the working grist mill, restored canal and lock, replica horse drawn canal boat, historic covered aqueduct, shops and restaurants during the 2 hour layover. - ALL ABOARD FOR WILD WEST FUN:
Step back in time to the old west. Join the Circle D Rangers band of cowboys, outlaws, and lawmen on a fun filled 5 hour round trip through the scenic Whitewater Valley. - Metamora Canal Days Limited:
Enjoy the Metamora Canal Days Festival without worrying about parking. This seven hour excursion departs from Connersville’s Grand Central Station and features a round trip to historic Metamora through the scenic Whitewater Valley. - Civil War Special:
Looking to experience a bit of Civil War history? Be in the middle of the action as a Union Army detachment protects the US Government Payroll while a relentless group of Confederate soldiers known as Morgan’s Raiders plan and wait. - Throttle Time:
The Whitewater Valley Railroad is proud to present our Throttle Time experience. The general public will be offered a chance to operate one of our historic diesel-electric locomotives on the railroad’s main line as a guest engineer.
