Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is coming to the northwest side of Indianapolis! It will be the first location in the state of Indiana.
The Austin, Texas, based cinema eatery will open its first Indiana location on Monday, November 18, less than a mile from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The theater offers a unique blend of state-of-the-art technology and a distinct approach to cinema. Alamo Drafthouse’s new Indianapolis location will feature 13-screens with more than 700 seats. Guests can expect a scratch-made food menu, local beers on tap and craft cocktails all delivered to their seat by stealthy servers trained not to disrupt the movie.
The Alamo Drafthouse Experience
The Indianapolis Alamo Drafthouse embraces the city’s deep-rooted racing culture. Guests are welcomed by murals painted by local artist Pam Bliss, paying tribute to racing in the movies. From there, the motorsport experience continues with a racing simulator and Mario Kart consoles in the arcade.
In the lobby, visitors can snap a photo with an authentic winning IndyCar, while the Hot Rod Bar offers a nod to the Speedway with a selection of local beers and expertly crafted cocktails. Racing-themed movie posters line the theater walls, completing this homage to Indy’s rich motorsport legacy.
