Event Details

The 19th Annual Hendricks County Rib-Fest & BBQ takes place this year with a full day of food, entertainment, and community fun. Originally started in 2005 as a local event in Avon, it has grown into a large county tradition, drawing visitors from across Hendricks County and beyond.

The event features live music, kids’ games, hot air balloons, and a fireworks show to end the night. Local restaurants compete for titles like “Best Ribs” and “Best Sauce,” judged by local celebrities.

The day also includes the 9th Annual Rib Run, with a 5K for adults and a Riblet Run for kids. The race is sponsored by Duke Energy and IU Health West.
