Fun and Funny Things to Ask Alexa or Siri

Alexa and Siri are great tools to have around the house: they play music, keep grocery lists and give us the weather forecast. But they can also be a lot of fun to ask questions. And as far as robots go, they surprisingly have a great sense of humor. 

To see the fun and funny side of Alexa and Siri, you just need to know the questions to ask them. Here is a list of some kid-friendly things you can ask Alexa and Siri.

Things to Ask Alexa 

“Alexa, open Amazon Storytime.” – Amazon Storytime is professionally narrated children’s stories for ages 5-12. Just last year, Disney partnered with Amazon to release 54 classic Disney stories read to children under the command, “Alexa, open Disney stories.” 

“Alexa, guess the animal sound.” – Kids can make the sound and have Alexa guess. You can also say, “Alexa, start Zoo Walk” and Alexa will return the favor. 

“Alexa, start Kids Court.” – The kids are arguing and you’ve settled things one too many times. Asking Alexa to decide adds some fun and curiosity to the bickering. 

“Alexa, rap for me.” – You can also ask Alexa to “drop a beat” and she will entertain with a unique, rhythmic number. 

“Alexa, play Twenty Questions.” – An interactive game to play. A second game to keep kids occupied is “Alexa, play Would You Rather” and both games are family friendly. 

“Alexa, what’s the magic word?” – Her answer will change each time you ask. 

“Alexa, what do you want to be when you grow up?” – Even Alexa has a plan for the future, but it could also get kids discussing dreams of what they want to be when they’re older. 

“Alexa, tell me a joke.” – We know this one, right? At one time or another, we’ve probably asked Alexa to tell us a joke. For kids, the entertainment is endless. Ask her to tell you a pirate joke. She has quite a few. 

“Alexa, ask Magic 8 Ball.” – Ask Alexa any question with a yes or no answer and she’ll deliver every time. 

Things to Ask Siri

“Siri, tell me a tongue twister.” – Try repeating what she says five times fast!

“Siri, what’s zero divided by zero.”  – Make Siri do some math for you.

“Siri, can you say ‘supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’.” – Asking Siri to say this classic word from Mary Poppins will have you rolling with laughter.

“Siri, can you sing?” – You might have to ask a few times (Siri sometimes has stage fright), but it’s worth the effort.

“Siri, is Santa Claus real?” –  Let Siri help you solve this question once and for all.
