Event Details

Families can go trick-or-treating, join a potions class and explore Halloween activities during ZooBoo at the Indianapolis Zoo. The event also features seasonal twists on rides and opportunities to see animals enjoying the cooler weather. Costumes are encouraged; children ages 12 and under may wear masks or full face paint.

ZooBoo is free for members and included with regular Zoo admission.

What to Expect

  • ZooBoo Village and Leeward Manor, where the silly-not-spooky Leeward Sisters guide kids on an enchanted adventure and Aunt Clara Voyant’s magic tree reveals each guest’s mystic animal match
  • Elephant Pumpkin Smash, featuring elephants stomping, smashing and snacking on giant pumpkins
  • A potions class with Magnificent Mixie or Professor Pumpkin in the Potions Pathway near the International Chimpanzee Complex
  • Adoptable kittens at Black Cat Curios in ZooBoo Village through a partnership with IndyHumane. Adoption applications open September 23, and kittens remain at the Zoo until ZooBoo ends before joining their adoptive families.
  • Seasonal food, including wicked tots and graveyard nachos, available from 2pm to close during ZooBoo
