For families who need help keeping kids on track with schools being closed until the fall, Huntington Learning Center’s Glendale Town Center location is now offering virtual options. We gave Huntington’s virtual tutoring a shot.

Education, when done right, can be fun.
During my Kindergarten-age daughter’s initial assessment, she leaned over and whispered to me “this is kind of fun!”. Lisa, the co-owner, created the perfect environment to keep our wiggly, shy young daughter engaged. I was so impressed by this – as my daughter’s Zoom meet ups with teachers, classmates, and friends, have not held her attention. Also, co-owner Lisa is working double time to ensure kids get rewarded for their sessions. She’s mailing us a special coupon to Chick-fila for a future ice cream treat.
Building an independent learner right now is everything.
Especially for families with working parents and/or parents with no experience in education. During our Kindergartner’s assessment, I sat next to my daughter and quickly realized I 100% was not needed (yeah!). Independence is everything.
The tutors are very experienced.
Not only are all of the tutors at the Glendale Town Center location certified teachers, they’re also given the best tools. Since Huntington’s been around since 1977, these tutors have access to all the best practices. In fact, the Glendale location employs a professor and a merit scholar. Also, for those with older kids working on college entrance and scholarship exams like ACT, SAT, and PSAT, know the tutors not only have a 4-year degree, they also are required to have a score of 650 or higher.
Huntington Learning Center is highly connected to key resources in Indy…
…including your child’s teacher. It’s a key part of their services. Plus, they work closely with Children’s Resource Group https://www.childrensresourcegroup.com/, a multi-specialty behavioral health practice with experience testing and servicing students with learning disabilities and differences. They also have partnerships with organizations who can offer help with fitness and wellness, college strategies, and more.
The most valuable investment we can make is in our children’s education.
When we make this a priority, we give our children opportunity. Huntington Learning Center works with every family’s budget and offers payment plans, as well. Also, if you have grandparents or relatives who are feeling helpless during COVID, this could be the perfect way for them to help.

About the Owners
Huntington Learning Center’s Glendale Town Center location is owned by an Indianapolis wife/husband team, Lisa Fraser and Bob Mack. After experiencing the joys and challenges of parenthood with their daughter, Emma, they decided to open this center to help other families.
Emma’s experiences with a great school and wonderful teachers lead Lisa to become the president of the parent/faculty association and ultimately drove both parents to find more productive ways to give Emma every academic advantage that we could offer her. After many months of research and study, it was clear that Huntington Learning Center was the answer to better grades, higher test scores and more academic self-sufficiency for Emma.
