The Children’s Museum is throwing a Halloween party, and for once the kids aren’t invited. After Dark: Sports and Spells takes over the Sports Legends Experience on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, and it’s strictly for adults 21 and older. Consider this your cue to line up a sitter.

Costumes, glow golf and live music
There’s glow golf, dodgeball, a home run derby and cornhole, and every outdoor sports experience stays open for the night. GrooveSmash plays live, there’s a costume contest and the Circle City Ghostbusters make an appearance.
If you’d rather make something than throw something, there’s a glow-in-the-dark mural created by visiting artist Christina Hollering that guests can help paint.
Tickets and the haunted house add-on
Tickets are $50, and members can log in to see their discount. Food and drinks are sold separately, with tacos, pumpkin cheesecake and apple cider margaritas among the options.
The museum’s haunted house runs Frightening Hours during the party, but it’s a separate $9 ticket and it closes at 9 p.m., two hours after the party starts. If a walk-through is on your list, do it first and save the cornhole for later.
