French Lick Resort always goes big for the holidays, and if you always find yourself saying โ€œit doesnโ€™t feel like the holidays yet,โ€ seeing French Lick Resort all lit up is sure to get you in the spirit. The festivities get started early with two grand tree lighting ceremonies: November 16 at West Baden Springs Hotel and November 23 at French Lick Springs Hotel. Plan a day trip and take in the lighting of the huge trees plus visits from Santa, holiday music and other surprises.ย

Simply admiring the resortโ€™s dazzling holiday decorations, festive trees and half-million lights is worth the trip in itself. While you visit, be sure to stop by the West Baden Springs Hotel atrium to enjoy performances by the Dickens Carolers (December 7, 14 & 21) and head over to French Lick Springs Hotel to view the spectacular animated light show projected onto the building every evening.ย

Of course, thereโ€™s plenty for families to experience together. Come December 7 or 14 to craft your own gingerbread house from a variety of sweet treats. (And be sure to visit the upper level of the Event Center to see the hotelโ€™s famous gingerbread house display, made from more than 700 pounds of real gingerbread and candy confections.) Kids can also visit with Santa on the weekends and write a letter to St. Nick at the North Pole, make a stuffed buddy at Santaโ€™s Toy Maker Workshop, or try story time and cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus. And if youโ€™ve got kids with that pent-up Christmas energy, they can burn some of it at the Winter Break Bounce Bash (daily from December 21-29) with bounce houses, games and more.ย

Perhaps the best part of the holiday festivities at French Lick Resort? Their holiday lights, trees and decorations stay up into the first week of January โ€” a little extra time to experience and savor that holiday magic.ย
