2021 Halloween Programs at Indy Parks

Indy Parks is getting into the Halloween spirit! Beginning October 20, 2021, community members are invited to participate in several themed events to celebrate the spooky season. Take a stroll around Garfield Park’s creepy grounds, dress up your dogs for a visit to Broad Ripple Park, or see if you’re brave enough to make it through Brookside Park’s haunted house. Costumes are always encouraged.  

Upcoming Indy Parks events:

  • Trunk or Treat

    • When: Friday, October 22, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
    • Where: Frederick Douglass Park, 1616 East 25th Street
    • Details: Join us for a spooky good time with candy, games, and prizes! For more information, click here.
  • Monster Mash

    • When: Friday, October 22, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
    • Where: Krannert Park, 605 South High School Road
    • Details: Costumes, music, and treats! Join park staff for a ghoulishly good time for Halloween! For details, click here.
  • 4th Annual Costume and Candy Giveaway

    • When: Friday, October 22, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
    • Where: Christian Park, 4200 English Avenue
    • Details: Kick off the Halloween season with some spooky good fun at a costume and candy giveaway! This event is free, but all participants must pre-register. To sign up, click here.
  • Moonlight Egg Hunt

    • When: Friday, October 22, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
    • Where: Broad Ripple Park, 1500 Broad Ripple Avenue
    • Details: Dare to venture out into the moonlight for a monster egg hunt. Be sure to bring a flashlight and enjoy games, crafts, refreshments, and a howling great time! Wear a costume for an extra special prize. To register, click here.
  • Spooky Stroll

    • When: Wednesday, October 27, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
    • Where: Garfield Park Conservatory, 2505 Conservatory Dr.
    • Details: Take a not-so-spooky stroll at Garfield Park with your little monsters. Join us for a stroll through the creepy Conservatory, followed by carnival games and goodies from the Burrello Family Center and Halloween crafts from the Garfield Park Arts Center. For information, click here.
  • Haunted Conservatory

    • When: Thursday, October 28, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
    • Where: Garfield Park Conservatory, 2505 Conservatory Dr.
    • Details: For one night only, get spooked as you walk through the Haunted Conservatory, complete with scary music, decorations, and ghouls. For information, click here.
  • Haunted House

    • When: Friday, October 29, 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
    • Where: Krannert Park, 605 South High School Road

  • Halloween Dog Egg Hunt

    • When: Friday, October 29, 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
    • Where: Broad Ripple Park, 1500 Broad Ripple Avenue
    • Details: Dress up your pooch for a Halloween dog egg hunt! Dress up your pooch for a special prize. To register, click here.
  • Halloween Festival

    • When: Friday, October 29, 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
    • Where: Riverside Park, 2420 East Riverside Drive
    • Details: Need a fun, safe place for your little ones to trick or treat? Join staff at Riverside Park! For information, click here.
  • Haunted House

    • When: Friday, October 29 and Saturday, October 30, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
    • Where: Brookside Park, 3500 Brookside Parkway South Drive
    • Details: Join the staff at Brookside Park for an evening of spooktacular fun! Treats and goodie bags will be given to those who are brave enough to make it through the haunted house. Lights will be on from 5:00 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. for those who scare easily, and the lights will be off from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. for those who don’t. To register, click here.
  • Trick or Treat Trail

    • When: Saturday, October 30, 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
    • Where: Tarkington Park, 45 West 40th Street
    • Details: Join us for some family fun at the park, with live music, bounce houses, trick or treating, giveaways, and more! Costumes encouraged for kids of all ages. For more information, click here.
  • Halloween Giveaway

    • When: Saturday, October 30, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
    • Where: Watkins Park, 2360 Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. Street

  • Trunk or Treat

    • When: Saturday, October 30, 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
    • Where: Thatcher Park, 4649 West Vermont Street

  • Spooky Skate

    • When: Saturday, October 30, 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
    • Where: Perry Park, 451 East Stop 11 Road

  • Monster Mash Dance Party

    • When: Saturday, October 30, 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
    • Where: Thatcher Park, 4649 West Vermont Street
