Kiwanis Indiana Balloon Fest (worth the drive)

September 26-27 | Lawrence County Fairgrounds (Bedford)

The Kiwanis Indiana Balloon Fest is a two-day event featuring hot air balloons, including some with special shapes. Attendees can also enjoy helicopter rides, live entertainment, and pyrotechnic skydivers. The festival will also have a wine and beer garden, a Jeep Show & Shine, various food and commercial vendors, robotics demonstrations, a bungee trampoline, and a trackless train. There will be an adult egg hunt hosted by Wilkes Concessions and a youth egg hunt sponsored by Maelyn Wilkes. The festival will conclude with a fireworks display.

Apple Festival & Craft Show

September 27-28 | Anderson Orchard

Visitors to the Apple Festival & Craft Fair can enjoy a full day of fall activities, food, and shopping. There will be picked and u-pick apples, including Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, and Jonathan varieties. Other activities include a pumpkin patch, a straw pile play area, and picnic areas. Over 80 crafters will be on site, along with multiple food trucks and a concession stand. Homemade apple cobbler with ice cream will be available, and there will be live music from noon to 4 pm each day.

September 27-28 | Downtown Atlanta, Indiana

The Atlanta New Earth Festival is the largest and longest-running festival in Hamilton County. The festival features over 600 vendors selling handcrafted items, arts and crafts, pottery, clothing, jewelry, antiques, collectibles, and vintage decor. There will also be a farmers market, a kids’ zone, food vendors, and free live entertainment.

Colts Fall Fest – Lark Ranch

September 27 | Lark Ranch, Greenfield

At this event, families can spend the day enjoying fall activities with a Colts twist. The Colts Fall Fest at Lark Ranch in Greenfield features a mix of football-themed fun and classic farm attractions. Visitors can meet Colts mascot Blue, take photos with Colts Cheerleaders, and enjoy giveaways and sweepstakes throughout the day. The farm offers a variety of kid-friendly activities, including a corn maze, pumpkin patch, carnival rides, train rides, and more.

Carmel International Arts Festival

September 27-28 | Carmel Arts and Design District

A vibrant celebration of creativity where the streets of Main Street and Rangeline Road come alive with artists from all over the country showcasing their incredible talents and diverse works of art. The Carmel International Arts Festival also features ART ROCKS!, a free, family-friendly street party on Saturday night from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM with a popular local band.

Glow in the Park

September 26 & 27 | Nickel Plate District Amphitheater

Glow in the Park is a two-night event with glow-in-the-dark fun. It features black lights, fog machines, lasers, and live DJs. There will be dance performances, a neon paint splash zone, foam cannons, a foam pit, inflatable water slides, slip-n-slides, yard games, photo spots, and a tent for glow swag and body decorating. Food trucks will also be available.
