What is The Oaks Academy’s age/grade range?
We serve students from Pre-K through 8th grade. To enroll in Pre-K, children must be 4 years old by August 1 of the academic year. Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by August 1 of the academic year.
What is your enrollment policy? Are there any key dates parents should be aware of?
The Oaks Academy follows a formal application process. Early Education applicants (Pre-K through 1st grade) are required to complete a readiness assessment with our faculty. For 2nd through 8th grade applicants, current grades and standardized test scores are required.

- Pre-Kindergarten Center: 8:45 am – 2:55 pm
- Fall Creek and Brookside (KG – 5th Grade): 8:30 am – 3:00 pm

Does The Oaks Academy offer before/after school care? Does The Oaks Academy offer afterschool activities?
Our Oaks Plus program offers our students a variety of opportunities in athletics, clubs, childcare throughout the school year, as well as camps over the summer months.
Before and after school care is available at the Lower and Middle School campuses from 7 am to 6 pm. Our Pre-K Center has a soft arrival window that begins at 8 am for no additional charge, and after care is available until 5 pm.
After school clubs vary by year, season, grade level and campus, but have historically included art, creative writing, chess club, outdoor education, and more! A competitive athletic program is available for 5th – 8th grade students in soccer, track, cross country, basketball, baseball, and volleyball.
Is there a uniform or dress code?
Students wear a dress uniform on formal days (Wednesdays and select field trips or special events throughout the year) and a casual uniform on all other days.

Homework is assigned Monday through Thursday.

What specialty classes / extracurricular activities does The Oaks Academy offer (gym, art, language, sports etc.)?
In addition to core subjects, students enjoy courses in art, music, physical education, and library. Middle school students also enjoy a grade-integrated House system and take a foundations course, logic course, and in 7th and 8th grade elect to take Spanish or Latin as well as choose a Fine Arts major in choir, band, orchestra, or visual art.
What are The Oaks Academy’s safety policies?
Each campus is secured by a safety officer and security system. A school resources officer also is in place. Additionally, middle school students carry identification cards.
