Indianapolis Ballet and Indianapolis School of Ballet are approaching the busiest -me of the season, Nutcracker season! This time of year is always special for the students of the Indianapolis School of Ballet as they get to work one-on-one with the Founding Artistic Director, Victoria Lyras, in rehearsals. Between the magical full-length production of The Nutcracker and the deliciously bite-sized performances of Family Series: Nutcracker Sweets, ISB students and IB company artists will be dancing in 19 performances, making the 2023-24 holiday season the grandest yet.
Be sure not to miss Indianapolis Ballet’s productions of The Nutcracker, December 15-17 at the Murat Theatre at Old National Centre, and Family Series: Nutcracker Sweets, December 21-23 and 27-30 at The Toby at Newfields. While The Nutcracker is the full-length holiday production you know and love, Nutcracker Sweets is an abbreviated one-hour version of the full-length classic, making it the perfect performance for the young arts lover in your family. Tickets for both The Nutcracker and Family Series: Nutcracker Sweets are on sale now at indyballet.org!
If you’re considering giving the gift of dance this holiday season, be sure to enroll your young artist in classes at the Indianapolis School of Ballet. For the past 17 years, ISB has helped countless young artists tap into their creativity by providing professional dance instruction in a nurturing environment. With ballet and tap classes beginning at age 4, as well as fun and educational summer camps, a dancer’s journey begins here!
