Stuckey Farm’s Sunflower Festival is one of the first big fall outings of the season in Central Indiana. The Sheridan farm opens its 7-acre sunflower field for two weekends in September, with more than 165,000 sunflowers, photo spots, U-cut blooms and family activities.
The first bloom runs Sept. 5–7, with a second bloom Sept. 12–13. Expect more than 28 flower varieties, zinnias, fresh apple cider donuts and plenty of reasons to bring the camera.

Walk through 7 acres of sunflowers
The main attraction is a 7-acre field filled with more than 165,000 sunflowers in a mix of varieties, sizes and colors. Paths wind through the blooms, with photo spots throughout the field.
Admission includes one U-cut sunflower to take home, and additional flowers can be purchased for an extra fee. Zinnias grow here too, and guests can cut three zinnia stems free while supplies last.

There’s more to do around the farm
The festival includes kids’ activities beyond the flowers. Adventure Acres, the farm’s play area, has a 60-foot slide and the Super Mega Slide.

Save room for apple cider donuts
September is also when the Country Market is worth a stop. Stuckey Farm sells apples, cider, apple cider donuts and other farm-market goods including local produce, honey, jellies and gifts.
The Cider Smash is on the treat list too. Between the sunflowers and the cider donuts, this is one of those outings that sits right on the line between the end of summer and the start of fall.
