Oh you better watch out: Santa Claus is officially coming to town. And like the big personality he has, the Indianapolis area is making sure to celebrate his arrival with events just as large. By race car to Clay Terrace Mall
Presented by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Santa makes his first big appearance in Indianapolis to Clay Terrace Mall in style. Visitors can celebrate the start of the season with Santa, reindeer and a special tree lighting ceremony. More info.
WHEN: Saturday, November 21. 3-5pm
Via an IndyCar to The Children’s Museum Of Indianapolis
A special police-and-elf escort will accompany Santa to The Children’s Museum Of Indianapolis in an Indy Racing Experience 2-seater IndyCar! Greet Santa before he takes his annual ride down the Yule Slide, then enjoy special Jolly Days festivities including photo booth fun, a sing along and more. More info.
WHEN: Friday, November 27th from 8:30-10am
By Helicopter to the Indiana State Museum
The annual holiday Celebration Crossing kickstarts at the Indiana State Museum each year with Mr. and Mrs. Claus arriving to the front lawn of the Museum via helicopter. Guests are invited to watch, take pictures and cheer as Santa departs. More info.

By airplane to the Indianapolis International Airport
Watch Santa dash across the tarmac on a fire truck to greet all the kids who come to welcome him. See his big entrance from inside Civic Plaza at 11 am, then chat with Mr. Claus himself. Pictures with Santa, face painting, balloon artistry, glitter tattoos, magicians, and more are all part of the FREE celebration. Parking is FREE when you register with Santa’s workers.
