Now that the school year is in full swing, I know a few moms who could use a little break from the daily grind. Launched in May of this year, The Rustic Spa in Noblesville was kind enough to invite me in for a relaxing afternoon. With true country charm, the interior of the spa is decked in barnwood, tin roofing and chippy vintage doors that are a decorator’s dream. Certified Massage Therapist and spa owner, Gwen Niec takes pride in what she’s brought to Noblesville and Hamilton County.

I kicked off my afternoon at The Rustic Spa with a 30 minute infrared sauna session. Unlike traditional steam saunas that tend to make me feel a bit suffocated, this infrared experience was perfectly warm and pleasant. My skin felt oh so soft when I got out! Next on my schedule was body contouring. I’ll be honest, I had eaten quite a few monster cookies that morning so was particularly looking forward to experiencing the benefits of regularly working out without actually working out. Ha! If you’ve never given this new service a try, make an appointment today. My hips and thighs were toner, tighter and I lost almost 6 inches total – that’s about the size of a Subway sandwich, ladies!
My afternoon ended with a wonderful customized facial and eyebrow waxing from Wendy. I’ve been dealing with problem skin over the past few years and Wendy took great attention to detail, creating a facial that has my skin still feeling amazing almost 5 days later. Now that’s impressive!
