Out and About: Fishers, IN

I love to fill my home with images that remind me of life’s happy moments. If you stepped inside the front door of my house, you would find my living room wall lined with photos of special memories, including the day we adopted our sweet rescue dog, Sadie, my brother’s graduation day, and the most meaningful of all, our wedding day. While iPhones are great for snapping photos on the go, there’s something extra special about the beauty of professional photography that gets me every single time.

A few months ago, I was introduced to Jennifer Driscoll from Jennifer Driscoll Photography. Upon entering her Fishers studio for the first time, I was hooked. Her beautiful work filled the walls and I instantly knew this was a photographer I wanted to capture some of my most important life moments. And while her work is simply stunning, one of the things I loved most about Jennifer was her sweet personality. It was evident that she truly cared about her clients.

“My business is built on relationships between people. Mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, grandparents and their grandchildren and so forth. My very first paid professional portrait was a maternity session. I think that tells the story of the heritage that has grown to be a business. Children I photographed as newborns have lost their front teeth, entered junior high and pretty soon they will be graduating from high school. That’s the fun of having a business 14 years old!” says Driscoll.

So what makes a picture so meaningful? For me, I love being able to look back on my favorite seasons of life frozen in time. I enjoy pictures that capture the natural bond of relationships and the true laughter that comes with them. Over the years I’ve found that in order for this authenticity to be captured, it’s important to find a photographer that makes you feel at ease. Jennifer knows just how to set the scene for the magic to happen as she thoughtfully takes into account what your family is looking for.

“My goal is always to make a comfortable place for my clients to have fun and be themselves. This means pictures that are honest and authentic! Happy family moments, sweet babies sleeping, rambunctious kids being silly, a senior looking all grown up and occasionally a 2 year old throwing a fit.I once had a mom order a huge canvas of her son crying, you couldn’t help but smile at it if you knew this little boy! Your family as art is my goal!” says Driscoll.
