In celebration of local artists and fall weather, the Indianapolis Art Center will host Locally Made: Indy’s Fall Festival on Oct. 15 from noon to 5 pm. The fall festival, which is free to attend, will provide a fun afternoon for the whole family.
Costumes are encouraged at the mostly outdoor family-friendly festival. Hands-on art activities include pumpkin painting, bracelet making and more. Artists and artisans will be selling their work at the festival. Festival goers can shop more than 20 local artist and artisan booths featuring glass pumpkins, ceramics, fiber arts, candles, painting, jewelry and more. Lou Malnati’s, Black Leaf Vegan, Books Bourbon + Bacon and Sun King Brewery are among the food and beverage options available. Broad Ripple community booths including the Broad Ripple Village Association and The Vogue will be onsite as well.
“The Art Center builds community through art,” said Mark Williams, president and executive director of the nonprofit. “Fall Fest is a great time for families to meet up for a fun fall day outside at the ArtsPark and do something creative together.”
The annual event is held at ArtsPark, which is a 12-acre campus, and located right off the Monon Trail. The Indianapolis Art Center invites visitors to enjoy an autumn day of family fun, admiring the beauty of art and nature.
