Lawrence Central offers participation in all IHSAA sanctioned sports and some additional club sports, including Lacrosse. Lawrence Central has a nationally ranked marching band in our Marching Pride of Lawrence Township as well as numerous choral, orchestral, dance, and other performing art ensembles/teams. Through these extracurricular activities students gain valuable experience that they carry with them through high school, college, and beyond.
In addition to our award winning performing arts and athletics programs, Lawrence Central offers numerous opportunities for students to be involved in the school community. Through the student council, Best Buddies, Key Club, LC Dance Marathon, and other clubs students gain experience by participating in and leading different student organizations.

Enrollment at Lawrence Central High School is approximately 2,500 students. Class sizes vary depending on course type and subject matter. Lawrence Central aims to keep class sizes low by offering a variety of courses available to all students on both the Lawrence Central and Lawrence North campus, as well as through the career and technical education available at McKenzie Center for Innovation & Technology.

Through all of this uncertainty, we will remain devoted to our values and our mission of educating all students through innovation and dedication. The district has implemented enhanced cleaning protocols, mandated the wearing of masks, enforced social distancing, and restricted school visitors to help protect students and staff. Students at the secondary level are currently operating a hybrid model per the Marion County Public Health Department, with no more 50% of the student body on campus at any given time.
