What is Kiddie Academy’s age/grade range?
We provide educational childcare services for children ranging in 6 weeks of age to 8 years old.
What is Kiddie Academy’s enrollment policy? Are there any key dates parents should be aware of?
We have a one-time, non-refundable enrollment fee which secures your child’s spot, based on current availability. If no space is available, this fee would secure your position on our wait-list. Summer Camp begins in June and ends the last month of July.
What are the standard school day hours? Does Kiddie Academy of Chatham Hills offer flexible day/hour options? Is before/after school care available?
Kiddie Academy of Chatham Hills is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. We offer full-time and part-time programs. Please contact the Academy Director for availability.
How many children are in each class? How are children divided up up?
Kiddie Academy of Chatham Hills has a maximum capacity of 154 children. When determining the appropriate placement of a child, we look at the age of the child as well as the wishes of the parents. We do follow the Westfield-Washington school schedule; so, children typically move up to the next program at the beginning of a new school year.

What are the teacher’s credentials?
All of our teachers meet and/or exceed the educational requirements established by the State of Indiana, many of which have their Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and/or Elementary Education.
Is parental participation required?
At Kiddie Academy of Chatham Hills, we are dedicated to open communication and full transparency with the families we serve, and, as a result, encourage our parents to participate as their schedule allows.
How do teachers communicate with parents? How often do parents receive updates?
Our teachers communicate throughout the day with parents via the Tadpoles application. The Tadpoles application is provided at no addition charge. Our teachers also have their own personal email accounts that are used to communicate back and forth with parents as well.
Does Kiddie Academy of Chatham Hills offer support for students with special needs?
Not at this time.
How much time do the children spend outside?
Nature, outdoor learning, and physical development are key components of our Life Essentials program. Weather permitting, children engage in games, activities designed to build knowledge, skills and confidence in these areas. Our playground is approximately 9000 square feet and 100% artificial turf. It includes a tricycle track, a basketball court, a soccer field, and numerous age appropriate playground equipment. Typically, children will be outside at least 3 times per day for a period of time that is appropriate for their age group.
Are meals and/or snacks provided?
Kiddie Academy provides a morning and afternoon snack as well as a hot lunch that is prepared on-site daily. We also provide children who arrive prior to or at 8:00 a.m. with breakfast at no additional charge.
Does my child need to be potty-trained?
At Kiddie Academy of Chatham Hills, we understand that each child is unique and that there is no standard timeline for a child to become potty-trained. Our teachers will work closely with parents to reinforce what is being done at home and to encourage children in their potty-training endeavors through frequent bathroom breaks, positive reassurance and praise.
What enrichment programs/activities are offered?
In our infant room, we begin to introduce American Sign Language so that little ones begin to learn how to communicate non-verbally with others. In addition, our “Music and More” program was designed by Kindermusik specifically for Kiddie Academy and is included in our curriculum at no additional cost. With all age groups, our teachers lead the children through playful, interactive, and developmentally appropriate music and movement activities focused on building and improving cognition, language skills, musical skills, sensory awareness, social-emotional perception and fine and gross motor skills.
What are Kiddie Academy of Chatham Hills’s safety policies? What extra safety measures are being taken during the COVID-19 pandemic?
The safety and well-being of the children and families we serve as well as our staff is our utmost priority. We have cameras in each of our classrooms, on the playground, and in the parking lot. Both the Academy Director and Owner monitor the Academy in real-time throughout the day. Parents can also log in and watch their children through an application called “Watch Me Grow”, which is provided at no additional cost. Each entry and exit is secured. We also conduct background checks, drug checks, and reference checks on everyone we consider for employment. Anyone who does not pass the screening process is not eligible to be here.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, we have developed a detailed safety plan that meets and exceeds the guidelines and recommendations established by the CDC and the State of Indiana. Copies of our COVID-19 Safety Plan are available by request.
