2026 Free Movies in the Park at Grand Junction Plaza

Movies in the Plaza returns to Westfield’s Grand Junction Plaza for summer 2026, bringing families five free movie nights on the Great Lawn. 2026 Free Movies in the Park at Grand Junction Plaza

Each film starts at 7:30 p.m., which leaves plenty of time beforehand to wander the plaza, grab dinner from a local vendor and stake out a spot on the grass. Seating is first come, first served on the open lawn, so pack your blankets and lawn chairs and get comfortable. The plaza’s walkable setting in the heart of downtown Westfield makes it easy to turn movie night into a full evening out.

Whether you catch one movie or make a summer tradition out of the whole lineup, Movies in the Plaza is an easy, free way to spend a warm evening outside with friends and neighbors.

2026 Movies in the Plaza Schedule

  • May 27: Lilo & Stitch (2025)
    Rated PG | 108 minutes
Disney’s live-action remake of the 2002 animated favorite follows Lilo, a spirited young girl growing up in Hawaii, and her new “dog” Stitch, who is actually a blue alien fugitive on the run. A sweet, chaotic story about ohana, found family and learning where you belong.
  • June 10: Ghostbusters (1984)
    Rated PG | 105 minutes
Three eccentric parapsychologists, played by Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, start a ghost-catching business in New York City just in time to face down an ancient Sumerian demigod. The 1984 comedy classic is a fun nostalgia pick for parents who grew up on it.
  • June 24: Kicking & Screaming
    Rated PG | 95 minutes
Will Ferrell stars as a mild-mannered dad who takes over coaching his son’s last-place soccer team and gets a little too caught up in winning, especially once his hypercompetitive father, played by Robert Duvall, gets involved. Silly, feel-good and squarely family-friendly.
  • July 22: Brave
    Rated PG | 93 minutes
Pixar’s Scottish fairy tale follows Merida, a headstrong princess with wild red hair and a gift for archery, who defies an ancient tradition and sets off a chain of events that puts her whole kingdom at risk. Gorgeous animation wrapped around a great mother-daughter story.
  • August 15: Star Wars: The Last Jedi
    Rated PG-13 | 152 minutes
Episode VIII in the Skywalker saga picks up with Rey finding Luke Skywalker on a remote island and the Resistance on the run from the First Order. Big space battles, iconic characters and a few surprises along the way. Best for older kids and tweens.
