Winter on the Prairie

Winter on the Prairie invites families to enjoy cozy, low-key winter fun inside the big red barn at Conner Prairie. Kids can explore an indoor playspace designed for creative, hands-on play, while adults appreciate a warm place to spend a winter morning that still feels active and engaging. The experience blends opportunities to build, imagine, and discover, making it a good fit for a range of ages.

Each day includes a Guided Experience with Conner Prairie staff at 11 a.m., with a different focus depending on the day of the week: Fridays highlight history, Saturdays focus on agriculture, and Sundays explore nature. Members receive free admission, while nonmembers pay a low per-person fee, with children under 2 admitted free. Parking is always free, and guests under 16 must stay with an adult during their visit.
