Weekend Pick Events

At Dirt Works, families can explore real construction equipment, watch demonstrations and play in a large dirt pile. Children may climb on equipment and bring a toy dump truck, excavator or bulldozer to use in the digging area. The free event takes place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 15, on the Heron Concert Lawn at Blue Heron Park. Registration is not required. Parking is available at Avon Parkside Church of the Nazarene, with a short paved trail leading to the event. Families should wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty.
