Owl Pellet Dissection at Carpenter Nature Preserve teaches kids how owls eat and how they form pellets afterward. Participants then dissect their own owl pellet and try to identify the bones inside to figure out what the owl had been eating.
The program meets at the Prairie Pavilion and is for ages 6 to 12. The cost is $7 for residents and $9 for nonresidents.
