Shades State Park celebrates Halloween with trunk-or-treating in the Hemlock Picnic Area from 5:45 to 7 p.m., followed by a candlelit Luminary Trail from 7 to 10 p.m. leaving from the Hickory Shelter, where games, snacks and music are set up. Families who want to hand out candy can park in the picnic area by 5:30 p.m.
The night is free with the park entrance fee and open to all ages.
