Event Details

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) invites 9th-12th grade girls interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) to the world’s largest conference for women engineers—WE21—held this year in Indianapolis!

At Invent it. Built it., you will:
Invent and build through hands-on engineering activities while learning how engineers help people make a difference in the world.

Visit engineering exhibits, colleges and companies.

Network with women engineers and build with other girls.

Learn about scholarships available for pursuing STEM degrees.

Compete for prizes from STEM kits to robots.
Find after-school programs to join.

SWE is raffling off TWO $1,000 scholarships to high school students attending iiBi! You must be present to win. Spread the word!

But there’s even more! Meet companies looking for future engineers at the EXPO!
Attendees will learn about engineering clubs, camps, after-school programs, and competitions from a wide variety of exhibitors at the Invent it. Build it. EXPO.

Participating girls will have the opportunity to explore the EXPO from 9:00 – 11:50 AM. During this time, the EXPO will be an open house with the opportunity to engage with SWE members, and organizations.

Invent it. Build It. is For Parents and Educators, Too!
While the girls are having fun building and inventing, parents and educators will learn about engineering careers, scholarships, college admission, and resources.
